Aura Safari

Aura Safari sind Nicholas Lammatteo, Lorenzo Lavoratori, Andrea Moretti und Daniele Melloni, Produzenten und DJs, zusammen mit den Musikern Lorenzo Francioli (Keyboards), Ruggero Bonucci (Gitarren, Bass) und Nicola Pitassio (Schlagzeug und Percussions).

Jedes Mitglied der Band kommt aus einem anderen musikalischen Umfeld wie Jazz, Funk, 80’s Boogie, World Musik, Italo House, Balearic Beats, Jazz Funk und Soundtracks. Was sie am meisten beeinflusst hat, waren die Jahre in der lokalen Szene von Perugia (Italien), wo sie jeden Sommer das Umbria Jazz Festival und im Winter den legendären Red Zone Club besuchten.

Ihr Debüt, eine 2XLP, die 2019 auf dem Londoner Label Church Records veröffentlicht wurde, hat sich schnell in das kollektive Bewusstsein von Underground-Musikliebhabern auf der ganzen Welt eingeprägt. Aura Safari folgte mit Veröffentlichungen für Hell Yeah Recordings und dem Londoner Imprint Terrasolare.

Aura Safari live ist eine Odyssee durch sonnige Landschaften des analogen Funks, vollgepackt mit Synthies, Percussions, Gitarren und Drum Machines.

Einmal im Monat kuratiert Aura Safari auch ihre “Tropical Climax”-Nacht im Zentrum ihrer Heimatstadt Perugia wo sie ungewöhnliche DJ-Sets mit einer anspruchsvollen Musikauswahl präsentieren, die mit Boogie-Tracks, Disco, klassischem Italo-House, Afro-Beat, Instrumentalstücken mit italienischem Einschlag und unerwarteten Coverversionen vollgepackt sind.

Aura Safari are Nicholas Iammatteo, Lorenzo Lavoratori, Andrea Moretti and Daniele Melloni, producers and
dj’s, together with musicians Lorenzo Francioli (keyboards), Ruggero Bonucci (guitars, bass) and Nicola
Pitassio (drums and percussions).

Each member of the band comes from different musical backgrounds like Jazz, Funk, 80’s Boogie, World
Music, Italo House, Balearic Beats, Jazz Funk and soundtracks. What most influenced them was spending
years in the local scene of Perugia (Italy) attending Umbria Jazz Festival every summer and winter nights at
the legendary Red Zone Club.

Their debut 2XLP released on London-based Church Records in 2019 slipped rapidly into the collective
consciousness of underground music lovers around the world. Aura Safari followed with releases for
Hell Yeah Recordings and London-based Terrasolare imprint.

Aura Safari live is an odyssey through sunny landscapes of analogue funk, loaded with synths, percussions,
guitars and drum machines.

Once a month, Aura Safari also curates their “Tropical Climax” night in the center of their hometown Perugia
where they showcase unusual Dj-sets with a sophisticated musical selection ranging from obscure boogie
tracks, disco, classic italo house, afro-beat, instrumental cuts with an Italian flavor and unexpected cover
versions.
